Welcome to Xclusive Plates By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which ensure compliance with UK law and provide transparency for a seamless customer experience. Over the last 7+ years, we have built a reputation for quality, with more than 100,000 premium plates supplied and over 1,000 glowing Trustpilot reviews.

1. Document Requirements

As a DVLA-registered supplier, we are required to validate your identity and registration entitlement before manufacturing your number plates. This process ensures compliance with UK law and protects against misuse.

What You Need to Provide:

Original documents must be sent to our email address:

  • Identification Documents (one required):

    • Driving Licence (Full or Provisional)

    • Utility Bill, Council Tax, or Rates Bill (dated within the last 6 months)

    • Bank or Building Society Statement (dated within the last 6 months)

    • National Identity Card

  • Registration Entitlement Documents (one required):

    • Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C or V5CNI)

    • New Keeper Supplement (V5C/2 or V5C/2NI)

    • Certificate of Entitlement (V750 or V750NI)

    • Retention Document (V778 – not applicable in Northern Ireland)

    • Renewal Reminder for Vehicle Tax or SORN (V11 or V11NI)

    • Temporary Registration Certificate (V379 or V379NI)

    • Number Plate Authorisation Certificate (V948 or eV948)

    • Letter of Authorisation from a Fleet Operator (including lease or hire companies, quoting the document reference number).

Important:

  • We will notify you via email as soon as we receive and validate your documents.

  • Your documents will be handled securely and returned with your plates.

  • Please note, we do not offer refunds. So even if we don’t receive your documents, there are no refunds.

2. Delivery Policy

Delivery Policy

Once your documents have been successfully validated, your personalized plates will be manufactured and dispatched. We offer two delivery methods:

  • Standard Delivery: Most orders arrive within 3-5 working days.

  • Fast Delivery: Most orders arrive within 1-2 working days.

Tracking Information:
You will receive a tracking number to monitor your delivery.

Notifications:
Royal Mail provides email and SMS updates for your convenience.

Please note that the delivery times stated above represent our normal service levels. In the event of a large backlog due to an unexpected surge in orders, delivery may take longer than indicated. Additionally, any delays in delivery are not under our control as we are entirely dependent on Royal Mail’s service.

Delays:

While we work hard to ensure timely dispatch, delivery delays caused by postal disruptions or other unforeseen circumstances are beyond our control.

3. Flags and Identifiers

You can personalise your plates with a legal flag and identifier to showcase your national pride while complying with DVLA regulations. Options include:

  • Flags: Union Flag, Cross of St George, Cross of St Andrew (Saltire), or Red Dragon of Wales.

  • Identifiers: UNITED KINGDOM, UK, ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, WALES, CYMRU, or equivalent abbreviations.

Flags and identifiers must appear on the left-hand side of the plate, with a combined width not exceeding 50 millimetres. For more information, refer to DVLA guidelines.

4. Refunds Policy

Due to the bespoke nature of our products, we do not issue refunds, partial refunds, or replacements under any circumstances.

Strictly No Refunds

  • Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

  • Custom plates are made to your exact specifications and cannot be reused or resold, making refunds impossible.

  • Refunds will not be issued if you are unable to provide the required documents within 30 days. Please ensure you meet the DVLA requirements before placing your order.

  • We do not offer refunds if you change your mind after placing your order.

Customer Responsibility:

  • Customers must read and understand all our policies, including the documentation requirements, before placing an order.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have the correct documents in place before ordering. A full list of acceptable documents can be found here.

  • Ensure all details, including the registration number and plate design, are accurate at the time of ordering. Mistakes cannot be rectified after production begins.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these strict no-refund policies. Thank you for your understanding.

5. Ensuring Legal 3D and 4D Plates

To ensure that your 3D and 4D plates are legal and compliant, they must meet the following DVLA standards:

  • Reflective Material: Plates must be made from reflective material for improved visibility, especially at night.

  • Front and Rear Colours: Front plates must display black characters on a white background, and rear plates must display black characters on a yellow background.

  • No Patterns: Background patterns are prohibited to maintain character readability.

  • Legal Markings: Plates must include the supplier’s name, postcode, and the British Standard number (‘BS AU 145e’ for plates fitted after 1 September 2021).

  • Character Standards: Characters must follow specific size, spacing, and colour guidelines, ensuring they are legible and in a single shade of black.

8. Coupons

Coupons issued by Bespoke Plates are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Coupons cannot be used in conjunction with other coupons or promotional offers.

  2. Each coupon is limited to one use per customer and cannot be reused.

  3. Coupons are not valid during any sales, including sitewide promotions, unless otherwise specified.

  4. During special sales events, such as Black Friday, Christmas Sales, or any other holiday sales, only coupons specifically issued for those events are valid. All other coupons will not be accepted.

By using a coupon, you agree to these terms. Bespoke Plates reserves the right to amend or withdraw coupons at any time without prior notice.

9. General Terms

  • Intellectual Property: All content, designs, and materials on our website are the property of Bespoke Plates and may not be reproduced without permission. Should we identify a website using our content such as copywriting, blogs, pictures or anything else, we will pursue legal action in order to protect our brand.

  • Privacy and Security: Your personal information and documents are handled with the utmost care and confidentiality.

  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including postal strikes or natural disasters.
